2017 Mobile World Congress – Testing 5G and the Internet of Things

Last week, we exhibited at the 2017 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It was a great event. It is clear that mobile technology, now ubiquitous, is innovating at an amazing speed.

As we navigated the exhibit halls, we saw companies stretching the limits of 5G technology. One vendor was demonstrating 5G at a breakneck 15Gbs speed, using a radio controlled robot via LTE connection.

Innovation was on display. Many companies were promoting a developing architecture for cloud capability with ongoing improvements.

According to the MWC website, more than 108,000 attendees from 208 countries and 2,300 companies were in attendance. The event included connected cars, virtual reality, new handsets ingenious app ideas, 3D printing, privacy protection and backend solutions on display.

Our booth, 1D50, was well attended by visitors interested in learning more about the application of mobile testing to these innovative technologies. The questions ranged from a simple “what testing do you do” to more detailed, “can you emulate NB-IoT devices?”

Visitors to our booth had the opportunity to learn more about Valid8.com and why we are a, “Testing Company That’s Different”. We were happy to share some of the key points that make Valid8.com different.

For the Mobile World Congress, our discussions revolved around our M-Series products and their applications to mobile networking and apps.

  • M2 PGW Testing

As I spoke with visitors to the booth, they were impressed with the breadth of our capabilities, our rapid deployment, the high value our products offer when compared with competitive products, and the overall lower TCO of our solution compared to other options.

The Mobile World Congress is a great event to stay up to date with the trends in mobile networking. It is clear that mobile technology will become more and more embedded into our day to day lives.

We were happy to attend the event and share our capabilities to provide performance, conformance and load testing to ensure a seamless experience for users.
